I’ll keep it brief. Buy the Shut Tup bag and you’ll be helping to keep a small British fashion factory in work.
The factory is in Walthamstow, East London. When The Trashonista – a fashion PR and Central St Martin’s graduate – heard it was struggling she designed the Shut Tup bag and commissioned the factory to produce it. If the bag sells well, she can reinvest and expand the Trash On range, helping to make the factory’s future even more secure.
The Trashonista is from an immigrant family and describes herself as thankful for everything Britain has offered her, from a stellar education to plentiful opportunities at work and play. This is her heartfelt way of giving back.
The bag costs £25, is made of heavy canvas and is more than big and strong enough to carry a Saturday afternoon’s worth of shopping. What more can you want?
Show your support for British fashion – or just buy the bag because you want one - here.
